our global experience to the Australian market
We work to create solutions for challenges faced by transportation infrastructures in Australia. We want to contribute our over 50 years of experience toward the development and management of projects all over the world.
In 2012, Cintra established its Australian headquarters in Sydney, as first milestone in Cintra’s strategic development plan in Oceania. Cintra was awarded the contract for the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing project in Queensland in 2015, and the contract for the Western Roads Upgrade project in Melbourne in 2017.
Local economic development
Cintra’s projects in Australia promote economic and social benefits by employment creation. In Toowoomba, more than 1,800 local companies were hired for the construction phase, including a 2.5% of native people.
From partnering with not-for-profit organizations to helping preserve local history in our projects’ influence areas, Cintra is proud to support community initiatives throughout involved regions.
Cintra is committed to boost innovation within the infrastructure sector, minimizing the environmental and community impacts through the responsible and efficient use of natural resources.
Cintra invests significant time and resources to fund Academic Research and cooperate with Academic Institutions in order to develop innovative technology and state-of-the-art methods to propose traffic congestion solutions.
